Back to school, back to you.
We had many writing samples submitted for our writing prompts over the last few months. Thank you so much, you all have so much to say!
Now that we are back into the swing of the school year, we want to introduce a new prompt and keep our children thinking and writing with purpose, passion, and pride.
It is amazing the sequence of words that thrill children when they make a habit of observing and recording the sights they experience daily through the process of writing. Making writing a daily habit establishes regularity that nudges the creative process that comes from the heart and allows the mind to polish and revise. One thing we encourage all children to do is carry a notebook everywhere. Sometimes we see things that moves us emotionally to describe through the writing process.
Allowing children to write freely blossoms new ideas that has authenticity and results in a more valuable and personal piece of writing. When children write from the heart they are mindful of surroundings, inspirations, and habits of the world so that their empowered minds can see and feel more by bringing the world to life with words.
